No one loves a good BTS more than we do! Honestly, Behind the Scenes shots in my opinion are even more interesting to scroll through than the photos captured by the photographer. Reason being, it really gives the whole “buyer experience” a new meaning. This post is all about BTS for our Faux Freckles™ launch. Also, feel free to check out the Instagram page for any shots that did not make it on the website (https://www.instagram.com/faux.freckles/).
First things first… Meet our Models, Heather & Jenna. Because our two models have very different looks, we wanted to use a variation of Faux Freckles™ applications. Heather used the light palette, Jenna the dark.
Get the Look
Light Palette Application – Because Heather is pretty fair and we wanted more of a clustered look for her shoot, we used one package of Faux Freckles™ across her nose and sunglass line. In order to achieve a bold look on fair to tan skin tones, use the Light Palette and double over some of the sparse areas of the first applied layer with a second layer. We used two layers on the bridge of her nose, as well as the “apple” of her cheeks. The first layer underneath created a fading or dusting affect across the sunglass line.
Dark Palette – Not one person’s freckle placement is the same. Therefore, we only used the nose strip on the bridge of Jenna’s nose. In order to achieve this look, use the recommended stencil on the back of the Faux Freckles™ packaging to measure where to place the pattern over your nose. For Jenna, we cut the stencil a bit smaller in order to avoid carrying the pattern onto her cheeks or nostril area. We also only used one layer of the dark palette. If you want to create this look on a medium to dark skin tone but have your freckles not as vibrant as Jenna’s, recreate this technique using the Light Palette.
